You can easily reach the trekking height of 11972ft by hiking along the Karei Lake Trek of 26 km and enjoying the lake’s pristine water. The melted ice of the Dhauladhar Mountains that flows as a magnificent stream formsthe water of the lake
The place is home to a range of exotic perennial flowers, rich pastureland, and dense conifers. On reaching the hilltop, you will be rewarded with visiting an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Even if you are not a religious or spiritual person, you will love the old temple’s architecture and the view it offers of the Karei Lake below from the hilltop. Due to the easy nature of the trek, it is frequented by tourists. Hence you can find many places for accommodation ranging from small tents to wooden rooms, which comes at an affordable price.
Post breakfast (on your own) our guide will pick you up from the Dha McLeod ganj / Dharmkot. Drive towards Kareri village (starting point of the trek30km). The guide will brief you about the terrain and we start trekking towards Kareli Lake. While trekking on the way, we will pass through the thick pine forest and distant villages. When you reach the lakeside, enjoy the view and the stunning beauty that of the Dhauladhar range. We'll be camping here for tonight.
Post breakfast, spend some time exploring areas around the Lake and then back to Kareri Village. Drop to Dharmkot by road (30km)and our services end here.
