It is classified under a moderate level of difficulty Bhrigu Lake trek, typically a 4-day expedition. During this trek, you will have the opportunity to traverse through the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh and enjoy unparalleled beauty.
Often touted as a nature lovers trek, you will have the privilege to walk through the Himalayan Alpine meadows, dense forests of oak, and rhododendron trees as the path meanders through the pretty wildflowerfilled valley before you reach the destination of the studding Brighu Lake.
Since you can visit the place all year round, there is something special about this lake every season. During summer, you will see the small glacial pieces floating across the lake. The spring will allow you to see the crystal clear blue water that keeps changing the color as the day passes, and during winter, the entire lake is frozen. During the trek, you also get a view of the Seven Sister peaks and get smitten by the scenic beauty. It will be a trek to remember forever.
Post breakfast (on your own), our guide will pick you up from Manali. Drive towards Gulaba (22km/ 1.5hrs journey). Gulaba is the point of the trek. Start trekking towards Rola Kholi. The trek is a complete pleasure and no hardships. The first 1.5 hours is steep ascent and then gradual ascent till campsite via Kolang Nallah. The trail passes through virgin forest (silver oak, cedar and birch trees) with views of Manali & Solang. Reach to the campsite by evening, Overnight stay in the tents.
Post breakfast, start hiking towards Brighu Lake. It’s summit day today!! It’s steep ascent till Brighu Lake (Mixed rocky and snow trail) . It’s an approx. 5km trek. Be it high winters or the beginning of summer, the lake is never entirely frozen. After spending some time at the lake, trek back Rola Kholi. Overnight stay in the tents.
We have to say good bye to the high mountains today!! Post breakfast, trek to Gulaba. It takes approx. 2-3 hrs. to reach Gulaba. Taxi will be there to drop you at Manali. It’s 1.5hrs-2hrs road journey. Our services end here.
